Preparing for acupuncture treatment is simple!
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be easily lifted above the knees and elbows. Most treatments can be done with the clothing on, however, sometimes it is necessary to access regions of the body that are likely covered with clothing, such as the entire back. In these cases, it is necessary to remove some clothing. Of course, proper draping techniques are always employed to protect your privacy.
It is also helpful to bring copies of xrays and labwork that are relevant to your current condition. A list of prescribed medications with dosages is also recommended.
If you are planning on using your insurance to help pay for your treatment, please call your insurance company and ask them the following questions:
• Do you cover acupuncture treatments?
• If so, how many treatments am I eligible for?
• What insurance codes are covered specifically?
• Have I met my annual deductible?
• What is my co-pay or my responsibility in coverage?
Finally, I want to emphasize the most important thing in preparing for acupuncture…
Bring A Positive Outlook! Your attitude sets the intention for your treatment outcome.
By bringing positivity and an open mind to your treatments, you will feel better faster and with stronger results.
