imagePhysical Medicine Acupuncture

An alternative and complementary "non-therapy", offering not only new dimensions in mere relief, but a process of self-discovery, self correction, and self healing.  Physical Medicine Acupuncture (PMA), is a system of body-mind integration developed by master orthopedic acupuncturist, pain management specialist, and soft tissue expert Dr. Philip Trigiani, designed to provide comfort, enhance body function and raise awareness, and it works every single time!

Utilizing the tools of classical acupuncture and traditional physical medicine, PMA gently frees restrictions in the central nervous system, facilitating the necessary self-correction strategies that dissipate tension, promote well-being, and thereby resolving all discomfort and symptoms.

Philosophy

The body-mind system tends toward order, to be connected, whole, and well.  Whenever the negative effects of stress, tension, and trauma enter the system, we defend, disconnect, and become separate from natural order.  The body the expresses symptoms.

It is these very symptoms that PMA sees not as adversarial, but as the sign posts and pathways to where a reconnection to whole or authentic self can be established and the self-healing process can begin.

A Simple System

To initiate this process, PMA introduces a soft, continuous cycle of touch, breath and movement.

  • precise, powerful, yet gentle contacts
  • delicate needle application
  • release of restricted breathing patterns
  • mobilization of all joints and cranial bones

It is the exquisitely subtle nature of this approach that encourages physical and psychological defenses to literally surrender and invite:

  • deep unimpaired breathing
  • spontaneous stretching
  • safe exploration of whole self
  • profound levels of insight
  • recognition of our true nature
  • reconnection to our full potential

Benefits

A return to order is realized as we break free from the binding circles of habit and experience wellness.

  • a tension/pain/symptom-free body
  • ease and clarity of thought
  • a broader perspective
  • a sense of vitality and purpose

PMA "devoted to the reconnection of your well-being"

...and it works every single time
