DAOM obtained at Yo San University in California specializing in Integrated Women's Health and Reproductive Medicine; it included biomedicine knowledge in gynecology along with the Chinese Medicine perspective on reproductive health.
This two year clinical doctorate specialty integrates advanced Western and Eastern diagnostics and treatment protocols for the effective management of men’s and women’s reproductive health dysfunctions and disorders. Didactic and clinical instruction highlights the specialized treatment of such conditions as
. hormonal imbalances, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, infertility, induction of labor, erectile dysfunction, prostate diseases, urological and nutritional disorders, ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage.
My Capstone research project focused on the impact of stress on fertility and on how acupuncture can reverse the effects of stress and facilitate viable pregnancies.
Master's Degree in Acupuncture
I recieved my Master's Degree from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture located in Florida. Five Element Acupuncture is a form of acupuncture that is rooted in classical Chinese theory of the five elements and focuses on the entire body and also on mind and spirit. It is a wondefully insightful holistic medicine!
